A new vitrified cup or mug shape: how exciting.

If there is any indication of production numbers then obviously I will be wrong here.

Could it be the cup designed by Peter Haythornthwaite that Public share used for its Crown Lynn share? Te Toi Uku has one: https://www.nzmuseums.co.nz/collections/3384/objects/486809/cup-bisque

I have my doubts as there is no indication that the Provincial range was to be vitrified, but thought I'd put it out there anyway.

Here's my handleless Public Share version.

There were 304 vitrified cups 3644 made in 1988/89

The Provincial range is earthenware.

It was proposed that Provincial production should be started in the New Year of 1989 and there is a photo of the range all finished at Te Toi Uku.

The coffee cup is shape 3081 and is the shape in the Provincial link that you added from Te Toi Uku.
