Large Hand Thrown Vase

This makes my heart pound 
Hand Thrown and 25cm tall it is very dramatic.
There is a series of photos at the Auckland Museum of Daniel Steenstra throwing a similar shape on a wheel.
I give him full credit for this beauty
It has the Crown and Star stamp from 1955 on the base.
I will seek out a date for the pics at the Museum.
Edits to add: Those pics were from a big celebration of the one hundred millionth piece made at Crown Lynn and was in the Herald July 18th 1959.
