Early Advertising Mugs
Hi Ev...
Pattern 778 Early Colonial
I'm not saying that this is called Early Colonial - but wondering have you come across anything in your research?
edit-- removed photo of the boxed set showing "early Advertising" for this mug
I have this image which I cant show for long as it was from TM ( photo removed)

Re: Early Advertising Mugs
I will check the deco advice records and if Early Colonial 778 shows up after 1978 we will go with it as the cup shape is from around that time.
When I get a few minutes .....

Re: Early Advertising Mugs
I had a look from around 1977 to the early 1980's Janice and couldn't find it.
Perhaps it was after these records which stop around 1982.
I really need to check the whole 70 odd pages to work out when Early Colonial was made.
One Day !!!

Re: Early Advertising Mugs
Re the timeframe/dates i did think that later as I'm mainly depending on the deco advise book. So what dates does that book cover? Or is that what you mean re the dates.
With these 2 mugs ( the photo looks like a 3rd, which is hard to make out ) shall we call them "Early advertising" in the main gallery? Or wait and see if you find anything in the future?

Re: Early Advertising Mugs
They are most likely in the Sales Records, but I only have them from 1980/82 for checking out the Medium Swan sales. They are probably later I would think.
I may have a quick look when I get a chance and see if anything jumps out before you put them into the Gallery.
I would rather they have the correct name, as we get so many coming here for info it's unbelievable.

Re: Early Advertising Mugs
Janice I just found 'Early Advertising' mugs in a L.D. Nathan stock record from around 1986, so please go ahead with putting those patterns in the Gallery. Maybe add the name of each too. They will all have their own d numbers, but who knows if we will ever find out what they are.
Edits to add that I just found John Edwards Silk Dyer posted by mumof1 so I've added it
