Today's journey of discovery is the Shape 457
Thanks to Julie Cardon who saw an old Butter dish in Paeroa and asked if it was a shape 457.
I have a couple of these old Butter Pats and have asked them more than a few times what shape they are, but they have never shared it with me!
The Shape 457 shows up in an old Shape Catalogue along with some bowls and this has distracted me into thinking it was a small bowl. However Julie's thoughts have diverted me in another direction.
This is the old photo and shows the small end 'dish' is the 457

Photo recreated, 457, 769, 770, 767

Scones were yummy

Re: Today's journey of discovery is the Shape 457
Recreated photo added to the first post and it shows that the old butter pat is the 457 shape.
This one has Kelston British on the base and I have another very similar, but slightly different that has been decorated by Frank Carpay and has the Tiki and 3 stars on the base.
I'm not sure when they stopped using the term Butter Pat, but it did change over time to Butter Dish.
I must add dimensions to this thread and I've linked the Gallery photo to here.
457 is 9cm across.
New Shape heaven
Thank you so much Julie xxx
