Betty Cohen
Betty was a perfectionist in porcelain and her work shows this.
The intricate carvings that covered her pieces were amazing!
I am very lucky to have two of her pieces.

Betty never signed her work, but used stickers instead ..

I feel so lucky to have found one of Betty's sublime trinket boxes.
Darn digital hasn't picked up the colour correctly, as this is the softest pink from copper oxide in a gas kiln..

Re: Betty Cohen
Thank you so much for the photos!!!!!
I knew Betty when she first started potting and was in awe of her work.
Porcelain is quite fragile in the raw state and yet look at what she has done with it.
She must have the patience of Job.

Re: Betty Cohen
A tribute to Betty Cohen who passed away this week aged 90.
Betty started her pottery journey in the 1970's and was a very talented potter and mainly worked with porcelain and made beautiful carved pottery.
I've only seen work with her stickers on it, never with a potters mark.
I gave her some pieces that I had come across not that long ago and she gratefully accepted them so that she could give them to family members.
Rest easy Betty xx
